During the production of The Lord of the Rings, Weta Workshop was tasked with helping to build up the very foundations of how Middle-earth was to appear on screen. From the largest of towers to the smallest of Hobbit holes, countless sketches were made detailing every aspect, and although not every concept saw its way onto the big screen, each piece played an important role in exploring the world it belonged to. <br /><br />For the very first time, Weta Workshop is proud to have the opportunity to bring a piece of Middle earth to life, that until now only existed on paper: The Key to Bag End.<br /><br />It takes hundreds of hours to design, sculpt model make, mold, and paint the prototype for each new Middle-earth piece. Weta is pleased to be working with Jens Hansen to produce The One Ring in gold plated Tungsten Carbide. It's crafted to the exact shape, thickness and proportions of the original movie prop. The 18K gold plating and the significant weight of the Tungsten now ensures that you can own a One Ring that looks and feels absolutely right.<br /><br />This gorgeous piece of jewellery has the famous words in ancient Elvish runes delicately engraved on the inside and outside of the ring, as well as on the beautiful wooden gift box made from natural Walnut timber. The box can be displayed open thanks to an ingenious and almost invisible elastic hinge or closed with a strong rare-earth magnet.<br /><br />The lid features a The Lord of the Rings logo on the outside and the logos of Weta and Jens Hansen on the inside. The inside bottom of the box is lined with blue velvet.<br /><br />Like anything made from natural timber, variations in grain and colour will occur and the colour may also change over time. This is an entirely natural process.

In the Second Age of Middle-earth, the Dark Lord Sauron stretched his shadow across the land, corrupting and enslaving the people in a darkness of despair and fear. Gil-galad, King of the Ñoldor Elves, joined with Elendil, King of Gondor, to forge the Last Alliance of Elves and Men to defeat the evil Sauron and his legion of Orcs. The Ñoldor Elves were noble, elegant and magical beings who lived in harmony with the natural world and its forces. The high sophistication of the elves was reflected in the design of their armor and weapons. Their war helmets had the appearance of having been forged from a single slab of bronze alloy, with decorative raised golden tendrils adorning the surface. The noseguards were embossed with the elvish runes, indicating that these soldiers were under the command of Gil-galad, the last king of the Ñoldorin High Elves. This detailed replica is a reproduction of the actual movie prop used in The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship from New Line Cinema. The helmet is made of reinforced polyresin, with precisely sculpted details and coloring.
